he 22nd Maindee Festival is this Saturday (7th July) at Maindee Primary School. As always the street parade leaves Rodney Parade at 12pm and the Festival starts at 1pm with three stages and fringe acts performing music, dance, spoken word, story telling, arts activities, lovely food and fun. And of course it's FREE entry.
As the start of our 10th Birthday celebrations and the start of our season of summer festivals, Newport City Radio is proud to be hosting the main stage and garden stage again this year. I'm also personally proud to have been part of the amazing team who meet monthly to shape each year's event. The theme for this one is Incredile Edible as we go 'green'. Look out for giant fruit and veg in the carnival parade as well as planted wheelbarrows, butterflies and bees.
I love the variety of entertainment we have, so lets have a focus on each stage so you know what to expect.
Main Stage hosted by Kym and some guy called Lamsie ;-)
