While watching the film I couldn't help but compare it to a sort of cross between Seth MacFarlane's film ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West’ and Gore Verninski's film ‘The Lone Ranger’. Plus, it wasn't that funny because it's the same humour Sandler has been using for years and it's just gotten a bit old.
I also think there was a problem in casting. I think they could have found someone much better than Sandler to play White Knife, he didn't fit the part. Although he could have directed it just as well, I just can't help but think someone else would have been better in that role.
The film also starred Sandler's regular actors like Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, Terry Crews and Vanilla Ice. But it was nice to see some new faces to a Sandler film such as Taylor Lautner, Jorge Garcia and Saginaw Grant.
All that aside, the film did have a good story to it and it did have its moments, but I think Adam Sandler needs to go away and maybe think of new material and head down a different path. Some people have said they think he should retire but I totally disagree with that. I'm still a big fan of Adam Sandler and I'd love to see him make a great film again, but for me, The Ridiculous 6 wasn't a great film.
